I’m blessed for the miles I have on my shoes
Roads were very long and not always smooth
Don’t think I always had an easy time
Had to cross the rivers and hills to climb
At times I hit the rock bottom and fell apart
Had cold nights that I spent in the dark

I was afraid of losing when things were tight
But never backed down from any battle in life
My journey and struggles far from being over
I will always choose the hard road over and over
Maybe one day I will look back and smile
Hopefully, someday, I can say It was worth every mile
